How to Renew Florida Medical Marijuana Card in 2024

Prepare your documentation and payment: To renew your Florida medical marijuana card, gather the following: a completed patient application (select "renewal application" on the form), a passport-style photo, proof of residency, and a check or money order for the applicable fee payable to the Florida Department of Health.

  • Alternatively, renew online by logging into the Medical Marijuana Use Registry, selecting "YOUR CARD," and following the prompts to complete the renewal application.
  1. Log in to the Medical Marijuana Use Registry. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset it.
  2. Click on the "YOUR CARD" option at the top of the page to access your Application History.
  3. Click "BEGIN RENEWAL" to start a renewal application.
  4. Click "PROCEED".
  5. Verify that all your information is accurate, then click “APPLY”.
  6. Click "SUPPLY A PHOTO" to provide a photo for your card. You will be prompted to either check for your State ID photo or upload a passport-style photo. Selecting "CHECK STATE ID PHOTO" will retrieve your driver's license photo from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) database, which may speed up the process. If you choose "SUPPLY MY OWN," you can upload a photo from your device, though this might increase processing time.
  7. Scroll to the "Proof of Residence" section and click "SUPPLY PROOF".
  8. Choose "CHECK STATE RESIDENCY STATUS" to fetch your Driver's License or Florida State ID from the FLHSMV. Alternatively, click "SUPPLY MY OWN" to upload a proof of residency document. Select the file and click "OPEN" to upload it. The document will appear below the "SUPPLY PROOF" button.
  9. Review all information for accuracy, then click “APPLY”.
  10. Scroll to the "Signature" section and enter your first and last name in the provided fields.
  11. Click "SUBMIT MY CARD APPLICATION".
  12. After submitting, click the "CLICK HERE TO PAY ONLINE" button to complete your payment.
